Pastor James Faris

Our pastor, James Faris was raised in a Christian home near Delphi, IN as the second of eight children and was baptized as an infant in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Lafayette, IN. His parents faithfully pointed him to Jesus Christ, and by God’s grace, he publicly professed his faith in the Lord during his high school years. During his teenage years, as he served in local church ministry and Presbytery youth leadership he began to sense God’s call to pastoral ministry. Over the following years, God confirmed that call. He graduated with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University, worked in the automotive industry for three years and then graduated with an M.Div. from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA in 2003. He served as an associate pastor at the Second Reformed Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, IN before being installed as pastor of the Southfield Reformed Presbyterian Church in November, 2006.

James and his wife, Elizabeth, were married in 1998 and have five children.
